MVITA Membership Benefits

The Miami Valley International Trade Association (MVITA) is a volunteer organization promoting international trade in the Miami Valley and supporting local business efforts in their quest to sell products and services to customers overseas. Specific Association activities, which are available to members at significant discounts, are:

Educational and Networking Programs

MVITA presents several programs throughout the year, both educational and social. MVITA's programs are educational based on important subjects and issues for both exporters and importers. Each program provides networking time so that you have the opportunity to meet with professionals in the international arena and have the chance to discuss the latest topics and issues effecting international trade. The programs are developed to educate the newcomer in international trade on the basic aspects of international commerce as well as update the more experienced international personnel on changes in procedure and regulations.

For those who can not attend outside programs. MVITA will be offering e-training on a variety of subjects. This allows the participants to stay at work and receive the training on their computer. The list of topics is current and very relevant for competing in today's global economy.

Annual Meeting

At the end of each program year (September 1 to August 31) the Association invites all members to attend an annual meeting at which members are elected to the Board of Trustees and other matters are brought before the general membership. An Annual Report, which includes detailed information on financial and organizational matters, is available at this meeting.

Annual Miami Valley International Golf Classic

Members enjoy a relaxing day at the golf course. The day is fun-filled with everyone enjoying the international business camaraderie in this Annual Miami Valley International Golf Classic. The 2004 Classic will be held at the Golf Club at Yankee Trace on Tuesday, June 22. Organizations are encouraged to sponsor corporate teams comprised of company representatives, as well as clients and vendors.

Newsletter

The Association publishes and distributes a newsletter, the TRADER. This publication includes timely articles in international trade topics and serves as a medium for members who wish to promote their businesses by profiling products and services.
